English professional golfer Tyrrell Hatton had a brilliant debut season in the PIF-backed LIV Golf. At the end of the 2024 season, Hatton won one event, LIV Golf Nashville, and finished fourth in the Individual Standings, behind #1. Jon Rahm, #2. Joaquin Niemann, and #3. Sergio Garcia.

While Hatton's 2024 with LIV Golf went well, one of his shots in the season has also earned him a nomination for a prestigious award. On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), LIV Golf's handle nominated Hatton's hole-in-one at the Chicago event for the Shot of the Year award.

With a video of the hole-in-one, the caption of the post read:

This hole-in-one, for which he has been nominated for the Shot of the Year award by LIV Golf, was scored on the par-3, 164-yard sixth hole at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. This shot took place in the second round of LIV Golf Chicago, and it was the eighth hole-in-one in the tournament's three-year history.

While Tyrrell Hatton's hole-in-one did give him a good advantage, he wasn't able to win the competition. Fellow European Jon Rahm ended up winning LIV Golf Chicago, while Hatton finished 4th and registered a top-5 finish.
