US Open 2024 odds and top bets explored

The US Open 2024 is set to tee off on Thursday, June 13 at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club's No. 2 Course in Pinehurst, N.C. The third Major championship of the season will see a stacked 156-player field compete for the $20,000,000 prize purse.

Despite the big roster, the United States Golf Association (USGA) run event is still headlined by Scottie Scheffler. The World No. 1 golfer is the favorite to win the US Open 2024. According to SportsLine, the Masters champion comes into the event with 11-4 odds, the lowest in the event’s recent history.

Notably, the US Open 2024 will have all of the Official World Golf Ranking’s top 50 players on its field. Scheffler will go up against the likes of Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm and defending champion Wyndham Clark, among others.

PGA Championship winner Schauffele will follow the Masters champion on the odds list with 10-1 odds. She shares the odds with McIlroy and LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau. 2023 FedEx Cup winner Viktor Hovland sits fifth on the list with 12-1 odds, while Ludvig Aberg and Collin Morikawa share the next spot with 14-1 odds.

2017 US Open winner Brooks Koepka (20-1), 2023 Masters winner Jon Rahm (25-1) and Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Smith and Max Homa (28-1) share the remaining positions on the odds list’s top 10.

Notably, the US Open's reigning champion Clark only carries 33-1 odds. Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, Cameron Young, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Matt Fitzpatrick follow the top names on the list.
