Viktor Hovland extends relationship with major sponsor

Viktor Hovland has extended his relationship with one of his main sponsors, J.Lindeberg, for another three years. He has been serving as the Swedish sportswear brand ambassador since 2019.

With this decision, Hovland remains in the J.Lindeberg family alongside other professional golfers such as Camilo Villegas and Matt Wallace. Recently, Matthieu Pavon became the latest addition to the brand's sponsorship portfolio.

In the official announcement of the extension, Viktor Hovland said, via J.Lindeberg:

"J.Lindeberg has been with me through some of the biggest moments of my career, and I’m proud to continue representing a brand that feels like a natural extension of who I am — bold, innovative, and deeply connected to its Scandinavian roots."

Hovland added:

"What I love most about J.Lindeberg is how they push boundaries — not just in the way golf is played but in how it’s presented to the world. Their commitment to performance and style is something I’ve always connected with."

Notably, the financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. In addition to J.Lindeberg, other major sponsors of Viktor Hovland include Mastercard, PING and Cisco.

Viktor Hovland began his professional career in 2019, which is why J.Lindeberg is one of his first sponsors. All his successes in professional golf have come wearing the Swedish brand.

Among his successes are six victories on the PGA Tour. They are as follows:

• 2020 Mayakoba Golf Classic
• 2021 World Wide Technology Championship
• 2023 Memorial Tournament
• 2023 BMW Championship
• 2023 Tour Championship

He has also won two DP World Tour events:

• 2021 BMW International Open

As if that weren't enough, Hovland has twice won the Hero World Challenge (2021, 2022), the tournament hosted by Tiger Woods that is part of the unofficial PGA Tour schedule.

Hovland has played in 18 editions of the major championships since turning professional. He has missed the cut four times and withdrew from the 2021 U.S. Open. He has four top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the 2023 PGA Championship.

Prior to his professional career, Hovland played in two editions of the majors and finished as the low amateur in both. That happened at the 2019 Masters, where he tied for 32nd, and at the 2019 U.S. Open, where he tied for 12th.
