LIV Golf and Fox Sports recently signed a deal and the media company's Vice President shared his thoughts on this. On January 16, 2025, FOX announced a multi-year media rights agreement with the Saudi Arabia-backed golf league.

Starting in February 2025, FOX will provide live coverage of LIV for viewers in the USA. More than 200 hours of the golf competition will be streamed through the FOX network. The majority of the three days of competition will be aired by FOX or FS1, and some rounds will be covered on FS2, FOX Sports App, or Fox Business Network. Jordan Bazant, the company's VP explained the reason behind FOX Sports' deal (as reported by LIV Golf):

"FOX Sports is excited to broadcast the LIV Golf League, showcasing athletes at the top of their game competing at an elite level for viewers across the nation. The addition of LIV Golf is a natural fit for FOX Sports’ prominent slate of big events, world-class names and premium sports coverage."

The media company was founded on October 9, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. FOX also broadcasts other popular sports events, including the NFL and NASCAR. As per Macro Trends, FOX currently has a massive net worth of $20.95 billion.

LIV Golf is stepping into its third official season in 2025, and this deal brings FOX back into the world of golf. In 2020, FOX broke its agreement with the US Open and left the sport due to financial issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LIV will kick off with its third season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, starting from February 6. As usual, Su-Ann Heng and Dom Boulet will cover the event from the course, with Arlo White doing the play-by-play commentary. David Feherty and Jerry Foltz will resume their roles as the analysts. After this major media deal, all pre-round and post-round shows, hosted by Christian Crosby will be aired by the FOX Sports family.

Jon Rahm was quick to remind the fans about FOX Sports' calibre as a media coverage company. The Legion XIII captain shared his thoughts on this step (reported by livgolf.com):

“This partnership is a huge step forward for LIV Golf and our fans as it will help bring our tournaments to a broader audience. FOX Sports has a reputation for delivering world-class sports coverage and I’m confident they will elevate the experience for everyone watching. I believe FOX Sports shares our commitment to pushing boundaries and innovating, and I can’t wait to see how this collaboration connects more fans to our sport.”

Brooks Koepka, captain of Smash GC, commented his thoughts on this move with the media giant:

"Having FOX Sports on board is a huge win for LIV Golf. They know how to bring sports to life, and I’m pumped to see how they showcase what makes our game so unique. It’s awesome to have a partner that shares our vision, and I think the fans are going to love what’s coming."

13 teams will tee off in the Saudi Arabia-backed golf league from February 6, 2025. Last year, Ripper GC won the LIV team title after its win at the Dallas Team Championship event. Led by Cameron Smith, Matt Jones, Lucas Herbert and Marc Leishman will be back in Riyadh to defend their title and aim for the top.
