Jon Rahm is taking his talents to YouTube. About one year after he defected to LIV Golf, he is partnering with Bob Does Sports, a prominent YouTube channel primarily focused on golf. They are one of the biggest channels that focuses on the sport with almost 900,000 subscribers. Now, they're adding the Major champion to an upcoming collaboration.
There's plenty of snacking going on behind the scenes of this collaboration, and there were quite a few laughs had between the Bob Does Sports team and Rahm, indicating that the full videos will be ones fans want to watch.
This was just a trailer, as the full collaboration is set to drop tomorrow at 1 pm EST. At that time, fans will be able to get a look at Rahm in a way they haven't been able to before.
This is part of a recent trend in golf. Social media, particularly YouTube, has become a haven for golf content. The Creator Classic at the Tour Championship was evidence of this, as so many have made full careers off making golf content.
Bryson DeChambeau has also been at the forefront of this. His YouTube channel at the US Open was on pace to pass the PGA Tour's in subscriber count. He has put a lot of effort into bringing the sport to a younger audience through social media, and now Rahm seems to be headed down the same path.
Jon Rahm confirms appearance in 2025 tournament for first time
For the first time in his golf career, Jon Rahm will play the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. He will be part of a field that includes Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood. The DP World Tour no longer prohibits LIV players from competing, which is why Rahm can join now.
He said via Golf Magic:
"This is an event that I have heard a lot about and I am looking forward to making my Hero Dubai Desert Classic debut in January. I have had a lot of success in Dubai in the past so it’s a place that holds a lot of good memories for me, and it will be great to get back there."
The tournament's executive director, Simon Corkill, said that landing Rahm gives the tournament one of the 'most exciting' fields they have had yet. He went on to say:
"Rahm's record speaks for itself, and his presence alongside the likes of Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, and other European Ryder Cup stars offers golf fans an unparalleled opportunity to witness the best in the world competing at Emirates Golf Club."
The event that Jon Rahm would be playing in will take place from January 16 to 19, 2025 to help kickstart the DP World Tour season.
