During the second round at the 2024 PGA Championship, a spectator jumped into the water to fetch Adam Hadwin's club. The tournament is underway at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. It began on May 16 and will conclude on May 19.

During the par-5 seventh hole, a spectator stripped down and retrieved Hadwin's golf club from the water. It's not known how Hadwin's club landed there. Neither Hadwin nor his caddie were willing to get into the water to get the club.

Here's the video of the incident.

Hadwin can be seen with a towel in the video for the golf club.

Adam Hadwin scored three bogeys in the front nine to finish at 3-over 35. He improved his performance in the back nine where he secured three birdies on the 13th, 17th, and 18th holes. He conceded two bogeys as well.

In the post-round press conference, Adam Hadwin said (via Pembroke Observer):

"I didn’t finish as strongly as I would have liked. It really put a sour taste on what could have been a pretty decent round."

He finished the second round with a score of 1-over 72. He was positioned at T51 with an overall score of two under par with the likes of Tyrrell Hatton, Cameron Young, and many others.

Xander Schauffele maintained his lead and remained on the top of the leaderboard at the end of the second round. He secured four birdies and one bogey to finish at an overall 12 under par.

The tee times for the third round haven't been declared as 18 golfers are yet to finish their second round. Hadwin will tee off in the third round which is slated to start at 9 a.m. ET.
