WATCH: Angel Hidalgo sets up eagle with unique swing at 2024 Andalucia Masters

After winning the Open de Espana this year, Angel Hidalgo is back in Spain to play at the 2024 Andalucia Masters. In Round 1 of the DP World Tour event, which is being held at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Hidalgo shot 70 to finish T39.

In Round 2 on Friday, Hidalgo made a strong start as he scored a brilliant eagle on the par-5 second hole. To set up the eagle, Hidalgo was seen hitting a brilliant shot, which landed on the green, very close to the hole. On social media platform X, DP World Tour's handle shared a video of the same:

As of this writing, Angel Hidalgo has played 16 holes in Round 2 of the 2024 Andalucia Masters. He seems to be doing well in this round compared to Round 1 and has an overall score of 8-under.

After two birdies and an eagle on the front nine, he shot a bogey on the par-4 ninth hole. However, the Spaniard managed to make a comeback as he registered his third birdie on the 10th before hitting two more birdies on the 14th and 16th holes. It's worth noting that before playing at the Andalucia Masters, Hidalgo missed the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Open de France.
