WATCH: Bryson DeChambeau gets grand welcome in Nashville as the US Open champ arrives for LIV Golf event

After winning the 2024 US Open last week, Bryson DeChambeau is set for LIV Golf Nashville. The LIV golfer flew to the city this week and received a heartwarming welcome from people there. Capturing the moment, LIV Golf's official X account posted two videos.

In the first video, Bryson DeChambeau gets down from the flight in a buoyant mood with his US Open Cup and asks the people to touch it. The video was posted with the caption:

“The Champ has landed in Nashville🏆”

Then, in the next clip, DeChambeau gets down from a car in even joyous mood, lifting his trophy high. As he approaches the crowd, they cheer for him in a celebratory uproar, and DeChambeau lets them touch his trophy.

DeChambeau is the second LIV golfer to win a PGA Tour Major. Last year, Brooks Koepka attained the feat for the first time at the PGA Championship.

The celebration was even grander for DeChambeau, though, because he has tried to win a Major since the start of the season, closely losing in the first two. He performed well at the Masters but lost the green jacket to Scottie Scheffler, settling for T6. Then, at the PGA Championship, he was defeated by Xander Schauffele by a single stroke and lost out on the Wanamaker trophy too.

DeChambeau's hard work finally came to fruition as he overpowered Rory McIlroy on the 72nd hole at the US Open. With that, he banked $4.3 million and the Major title. The feat also raised Bryson DeChambeau on the OWGR rankings by 28 places. He's now World No. 10.
