Bryson DeChambeau recently took a unique 'cardboard hitting' challenge on the range. In his latest Instagram reel, the LIV Golfer filmed himself attempting to drive balls through cardboard sheets.

In the initial frames, DeChambeau, dressed in a navy shirt, beige shorts, and a white cap with a navy blue logo, was seen speaking directly to the camera. He said:

"How many pieces of cardboard can I hit it through?"

DeChambeau then started with one piece of cardboard and successfully hit it through. The 31-year-old didn't break a sweat till four pieces of cardboard. After driving his golf balls through five cardboard sheets, he exclaimed:

"That's getting slower."

After hitting the ball through six cardboard sheets, he corrected himself and said:

"That's still going through pretty quick, guys."

After hitting the golf ball through eight cardboard sheets, he added:

"That got slower. Oh no."

After 11 sheets, DeChambeau said:

"Oh, barely got through."

After 13 sheets, he said:

"Oh, it got through, baby."

He ended the challenge after 14 sheets and said:

"Yep, right through it. What are these challenges? This is way too easy. Come on."

DeChambeau has lately amassed substantial followers on his social media handles as he regularly engages with golf fans. He has 1.7 million followers on Instagram, 1.57 million subscribers on YouTube, and over 460k followers on X. He has even taken friendly challenges with Donald Trump, Phil Mickelson, John Daly, and many others on his YouTube channel.

Bryson DeChambeau to tee in India at Asian Tour's International Series 2025 season opener: Reports

Bryson DeChambeau may reportedly tee up in India at the Asian Tour's International Series, as per Hindustan Times. The International series which was veiled in 2022 and backed by LIV Golf has held events across the world. If the planned season opener in India goes through, it'd be the first time that an International Series event will be held in India.

Further, if DeChambeau tees up in India, he'll become the first defending Major champion to play in India. Joy Chakravarty of Hindustan Times reported that Anirban Lahiri, DeChambeau's Crushers GC teammate is making efforts to get his whole team including Paul Casey and Charles Howell III to play in the International Series event before the LIV Golf 2025 season.

2024 US Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau has shown his support for the initiative at the LIV Golf Championship, last month. Talking about it, he said (via Hindustan Times):

"I am aware that Baan (Anirban Lahiri, who is part of his Crushers team) is going to be involved and we have had a few talks about it. It will be a very important week for him. I will support him fully, and if everything works out, I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play in India."
"I have never been there, but it’s a country that has fascinated me. I have always loved being a global player and I greatly enjoy playing in as many countries as possible."

The International Series event will reportedly be held from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, 2025, at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram and will have a prize purse of at least $2 million. It is to be noted that the event hasn't been confirmed officially by the Asian Tour, however, the announcement is expected soon.
