During the WNBA offseason, which began for Caitlin Clark with a disappointing exit from the first round earlier this year, the superstar basketball player has taken up golf. She recently played in a pro-am at a legitimate tournament, and now she's posting content to TikTok about her golf journey.

Part of that content involved a look at her and her friend's attempts on a par-three hole. She invited fans to come play with them before showing how things went on the hole.

Clark began by lofting her shot off the tee towards the green. Instantly, her companion said that the shot "could be in." Both Clark and her companion watched it gleefully as it landed inches away from the cup. They both ran around in celebration of one of the best shots they could come up with.

Almost half of the video was devoted to the sheer surprise at how good Clark's shot was. Eventually, her friend was able to take her tee shot. Clark applauded her effort, but it was not nearly as close as the WNBA star's shot.

Clark made her way to the green where her tee shot had landed in direct line with the pin but was about two or three feet short.

With her putter in hand, she lined up a shot at a birdie. She calmly slotted it home and reacted with elation at shaving a stroke off her score. Her friend couldn't match that with her own birdie and settled for par.

Zach Johnson, Ludvig Aberg heap praise on Caitlin Clark

Zach Johnson and Ludvig Aberg have had a front-row seat recently to the Caitlin Clark show on the golf course rather than the basketball court. Clark has spent her time off recently on the greens, and she has reportedly been impressive in switching sports lanes. She has always had an interest in golf and is taking the time to play now.

Johnson said via Mirror:

"It's off the court that makes it easy to be a fan. I just think that's the way you handle yourself, with integrity and class. But you work your butt off, and if success comes, you're going to have fandom. It's just the way it is."

Last year at the Masters, Johnson praised Clark. He said then that everyone at arguably the biggest golf tournament all year was talking about the Iowa-LSU title game in NCAA Women's basketball later that day rather than the Masters.

He continued in 2024:

"I can't speak highly enough about how she handles herself, whether it's in interviews or just the way she goes about her work. Obviously, she's had a lot of awards and success, but she always goes back to her team."

Aberg got to be near her during an event recently, saying he was "a passenger" but that she was a "rockstar" on the course.
