Caitlin Clark is playing in the LPGA Tour's ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge Pro-Am event on Wednesday (Nov. 13). Throughout the event, Clark has shown signs of working hard on her game by hitting some impressive shots.

Such was the case with a 15-foot putt that prompted her to celebrate with a fist pump, pro-style. A video of the moment was posted by the LPGA Tour on its official X account and received more than 21,000 views in less than an hour. Tens of thousands of other users saw it on other profiles like NUCLR GOLF.

Minutes earlier, Caitlin Clark had hit another quality shot from the middle of the fairway. The ball was about 100 yards from the pin, and Clark executed a perfect pitching wedge shot that landed on the green about 10 feet from the hole.

Clark will play 18 holes during the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge Pro-Am event. She will play the front nine with World No. 1 Nelly Korda and the back nine with event host and golf legend Annika Sorenstam.

The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) star has taken part in several pre-event activities. On Tuesday, she was one of the speakers at the Women's Leadership Summit hosted by Sorenstam. Before the start of the pro-am event, she traded in her basketball jersey for Korda's caddie bib.

Caitlin Clark on her reaction to the proposal to play at the ANNIKA: "Sign me up"

Caitlin Clark is a well-known golf fan, so she was thrilled to be asked to play in the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge Pro-Am event. Here is how she described it (via Golf Digest):

"I just feel very fortunate. When they asked me to come down here, I was like, yeah, I can get away from the Indianapolis cold. I get to play golf with some of the best. This is amazing. Sign me up."

Caitlin Clark's presence on the course has sparked similar feelings among LPGA Tour stars. The same Golf Digest story reported that Brittany Lincicome waited for Clark to finish a press conference to ask her to sign a basketball.

Another report from Pelican Golf Club by Golf Channel's Kira Dixon says that defending ANNIKA champion Lilia Vu thinks it is a great opportunity to have Caitlin Clark on the course. Andrea Lee, Megan Khang and Marina Alex also expressed their excitement to have Clark around.

Clark is recognized as one of the top stars in women's sports worldwide. In her first season as a professional (2024), her accolades included Rookie of the Year, WNBA All-Star, All-WNBA First Team and WNBA Assists Leader.

The 22-year-old led her team to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The Indiana Fever were swept in the first round by the Connecticut Sun.
