WATCH: Cameron Young makes impressive 'on edge' postage stamp shot at 2024 Open Championship

Cameron Young made an impressive shot on the eighth hole in the third round of the 2024 Open Championship. The 152nd Open is being played at Royal Troon Golf Club in Troon, Scotland.

The video of Young's shot was shared by The Open's official page on X.

"Living on the edge. Cameron Young's well-executed second means he leaves the Postage Stamp unscathed," The Open captioned the post.

The commentators in the video praised Young's shot and were heard talking about the narrow margin to the left of the bunker, stating it was inches and could easily chip in.

Young carded 2-over 73 in the first round and then scored 2-over 73 in the second. Young started well in the third round when he notched three birdies in the first six holes. He was at the risk of bogey on the eighth hole which landed on the edge of a bunker. However, Young's impressive shot saved him from scoring a bogey and he finished the par-3 hole in three shots.

Young is playing his third tournament at the Open Championship. The 27-year-old has a great record at the tournament. He finished a solo second at St Andrews in 2022 and finished T8 at the Royal Liverpool in 2023.

Cameron Young has had four wins in his professional career but is yet to register a win on the PGA Tour. He last won on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021 at the Evans Scholars Invitational. At the time of writing, he is currently positioned at T45 after 15 holes in the third round. The winner of the tournament will win $3.1 million of the total prize money of $17 million.
