Charley Hull is at St. Andrews this week ahead of the AIG Women's Open which will tee off on Thursday, August 22. The final Major of the women's golf season is upon us, and Hull was spotted practicing at the course.

She took a couple of practice swings before launching the ball off the tee. Her swing is one of the most picturesque in golf and she showcased it on Tuesday morning.

Watch the video below:

The AIG Women's Open, and especially St. Andrews, is a more difficult style of golf. It requires finesse more so than other tournaments and venues, and Hull will have to be on her game like she was in the video during previews.

Charley Hull responds to criticism ahead of Women's Open

Trish Johnson called out Charley Hull earlier this year, admitting that she's likely Hull's harshest critic. She said that she knows how good Hull actually is and holds her to a higher standard than she might hold herself.

Johnson said (via Golf Magic):

"She doesn't win anywhere near enough for her talent, and she doesn't get involved enough."

Johnson added that Hull's playstyle won't change no matter what, claiming that Hull will just go for the pin every time. Johnson also claimed that she'd pick Nelly Korda over Hull every single time despite Johnson being such a fan of Hull.

Ahead of the AIG Women's Open, Hull, who is one of the betting favorites this weekend, responded to that criticism while acknowledging some of it. The English golfer said (via Golf Magic):

"I am what I am and I ain't what I ain't. So, if I make a bogey, I then use it as a challenge then to make a birdie."

Hull continued:

"So, it’s just like tricking my mind. And I think it was Trish Johnson that criticised my golf game like the other month or something and she's allowed her opinion, whatever she wants. It doesn't bother me. I like Trish and I think she said I play a bit too aggressive sometimes."

The golfer finished by saying:

"But that's my personality, like in life, if someone says something nasty to me, I'll tell 'em straight back. I won't let it slide."

Time will tell if the criticism motivates Charley Hull to win her first-ever Major championship. She has finished in the top 10 in all five of them and has been second or tied for second at the Chevron Championship, the US Women's Open, and the AIG Women's Open, the latter of which she'll try to win this weekend.
