Charlie Woods shines at The Future Masters. The young budding golfer shot an incredible birdie on the hardest par-4 6th hole. He had a great start in the second round, carding an impressive birdie. He garnered attention in the tournament's first round with his beautiful wedge shot on the par-3 13th hole and again shone in the second round.

Charlie Woods, carrying his father's legacy, the legendary golfer Tiger Woods, has honed his skills in the last few years. He was impressive when he joined his father at the PNC Championship. Earlier this year, however, he struggled significantly while trying to qualify for the Cognizant Classic, shooting a round of 16-over 86 and failing to qualify for the PGA Tour event.

Since then, Charlie has worked hard on his game and found success on the greens. He secured a spot in the USGA Championship and is now playing well at the ongoing Future Masters.

After Thursday's round, Charlie Woods settled for a one-over-par score, bringing his total tournament score to +4. The second round is yet to be completed. Play will resume at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, and only after that will the top 104 and their ties qualify for the final round, which will also take place on Saturday.

Ben Shedd has been impressive at the Future Masters, carding a round of 69 in the first round, followed by another round of 65. Drew Williams and Brantley Moore are tied for second place with a score of -3. Although Charlie Woods plays below the leader's score, he has maintained his position above the cutline.

Charlie Woods qualified for the US Junior Amateur

Earlier this month, Charlie Woods qualified for his first USGA Championship and will next compete at the US Junior Amateur, scheduled for next month at Oakland Hills. His father, Tiger Woods, has won the tournament three times in his career, and Charlie will be looking to carry on his father's legacy.

Charlie Woods shot 1-under 71 in the qualifying round held at Eagle Trace Golf Club to qualify for the event. Speaking of his performance, Woods said (via ESPN):

"I didn't play great my first two holes, but I played really good for the last 16. I just told myself not to make any more bogeys or doubles and I took advantage of some nice birdie looks when I had them."

The US Junior Amateur will take place from July 22 to 28 at Oakland Hills. A total of 264 players will tee off at the junior event, with only 64 advancing to the concluding round after 36 holes.

Interestingly, Tiger Woods will also return to play next month. He will likely tee off at the final Major of the year, The Open Championship, scheduled to take place from July 18 to 21 at Royal Troon Golf Club.
