John Daly celebrated New Year's Eve in style by making a wild golf swing on a bustling street. 2024 was a rollercoaster ride for the PGA Tour veteran. While he launched his own line of cocktails, he also lost his Florida home to Hurricane Helene.

In the recent Instagram Story reposted by John Daly, the 58-year-old could be seen dressed in his iconic dark pants, loose T-shirt, and golden sneakers. In the initial frames, his golf bag could be seen resting on the sidewalk as he prepared for his golf swing with streetlights and cars in the background. Before striking the ball, he checked left and right so that he didn't strike anyone.

After the swing, he could be seen celebrating with his friends. He captioned the Story:

"Teein’ it into 2025…"

He also pasted a "Happy New Year" sticker on the Story.

In another story, he could be seen participating in a "beer drinking competition" with his friends, with one of them accepting defeat.

Daly's 2024 was a mix of soaring highs and crushing lows. Daly launched his John Daly Cocktails, a no-sugar, no carb drink earlier this year. He also partnered with Bryson DeChambeau for a "Break 50" challenge, the video of which has garnered more than six million views so far.

However, Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm, which had a disastrous effect on Florida affected Daly as well. Daly and several of his relatives lost their homes in the storm. Talking about it, he said (via talkSport):

"It's devastating. It's the worst I've ever seen. I hope everybody gets safe and gets their home back. But my heart just goes out to everybody."

Daly recently competed with his son at the PNC Championship. The father-son duo tied for eighth at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

John Daly has had a poor 2024 season. In 16 starts, he made 15 cuts but could only manage one top-25 finish.

Daly's only top-25 finish came at the American Family Insurance Championship where he tied for 22nd. He also withdrew from the two PGA Tour Majors, both after the first two rounds.
