WATCH: Jon Rahm celebrates LIV Golf Championship win with a champagne shower 

Jon Rahm won the 2024 LIV Golf Championship after winning the LIV Golf Chicago. The Spaniard finished on top of the LIV Golf individual standings with 235 points, while Joaquin Niemann finished second with 219 points. Rahm and Niemann had a three-point gap heading into Chicago's event.

The Legion XIII star celebrated the LIV Golf Championship win with a champagne shower. The video of the celebration was shared by the official handle of LIV Golf on X.

In the video, after the last putt at LIV Golf Chicago at Bolingbrook Golf Club, Rahm's teammate Kieran Vincent, Tyrrell Hatton and caddie Adam Hayes sprayed champagne over the LIV Golf player. Kieran Vincent was seen patting Jon Rahm on the back playfully in celebration.

Jon Rahm further took a sip from a large champagne bottle. He then hugged his teammate Tyrrell Hatton and his competitor Joaquin Niemann. The video can be watched below:

Jon Rahm scored 11-under 199 in three rounds at Bolingbrook Golf Club. The 29-year-old won the LIV Golf Chicago by three shots over Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia. This was his second LIV victory. He won LIV Golf United Kingdom in July 2024.

Rahm said he was nervous on the final day, stating (via ASAP Sports):

"You know, today was a special day in many ways. I woke up really nervous today, as I thought I would, and even warming up, I told Adam, man, I'm nervous. But then I started thinking, playing with Sergio and Brooks, last time both me and Sergio played good, it was a good Sunday in Valderrama; Sergio ended up winning."

"Last time I went up against Brooks, he ended up beating me. I wanted to hopefully do a really good showing this time and maybe get it over the line," he added.

He won $4 million for winning LIV Golf Chicago and $18 million for winning the 2024 LIV Golf Championship.

How much did Jon Rahm earn in the 2024 season?

Jon Rahm earned a total of $37.9 million, as per Golf Digest. In the 13 individual events at LIV Golf, Rahm had two wins and 12 top-10 finishes. He won a total of $34.73 million in LIV individual events, including $18 million for winning the individual title.

Further, LIV Golf players also earn when their team finishes in the top three in LIV events. Rahm's team Legion XIII has won four times at Mayakoba, Miami, Nashville and the United Kingdom. Legion XIII finished second at Chicago and third at Greenbrier.

In the three Majors on the PGA Tour, Rahm won a total of $509,033. He finished tied for fifth in the Paris Olympics. However, he didn't win any money as there was no official payout.
