WATCH: Justin Thomas saves par in sticky situation as ball lands in tree branches at the Zozo Championship

Justin Thomas' golf ball landed in the tree branches during the fourth round of the Zozo Championship, but he saved par on the hole by recovering it. PGA Tour's X page uploaded a video of him amid the rescue.

Thomas removed a branch on the ball and then took a shot. He took a second from the greens and another two to hole it.

“Surgical precision. @JustinThomas34 saves par from the trees to stay one back of the lead @ZOZOChamp,” PGA Tour tweeted.

Thomas is second on the Zozo Championship leaderboard with 19 under 261. He shot 66 in the first round with two birdies on the front nine and three on the back. He scored 64 in the second round, with a birdie on the front nine and three birdies and an eagle on the back. He shot 65 in the third round with two birdies on the front nine and three on the back and scored 66 in the last round with four birdies.

The American's last appearance in the Zozo Championship was in 2020. He finished for a T2 at the tournament with a score of 22 under 266. His scores over the four rounds were 65, 65, 67 and 69.
