Justin Thomas tried to emulate the 'Tiger Camera challenge' on his TGL debut but fell short by a narrow margin. On Tuesday, January 21, he was in action for Team Atlanta GC alongside Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel. They were up against New York Golf Club, featuring Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Rickie Fowler.

During TGL Match 3, Cantlay asked his teammate Justin Thomas to hit the camera located at the ceiling of the SoFi Center. The two-time major champion hit a great shot but missed the camera by a distance.

Here's the video:

Notably, this was done by Tiger Woods previously and he successfully hit the camera on his first attempt.

Speaking of the game, Justin Thomas and Co. dominated the evening, posting a 4-0 win over New York Golf Club. Team Atlanta took the lead on the first hole of the day and won the sixth hole to finish the Triples session with a 2-0 lead. "We made it very easy on ourselves," - Justin Thomas reacts to the team's performance at TGL

During the post-round press conference, Justin Thomas was pleased with the team's performance.

"Yeah, it was great," he said. "I think anything is more fun when you're winning, so we made it very easy on ourselves, and I think we complemented each other's games well. I mean, it's obviously a tough adjustment for any of us and all teams playing, but we somehow found a way to hit fairways and greens and made a couple putts. That was a bonus."

Atlanta GC will be back in action on February 17, where they will play two matches in a day. Their first match will be against Los Angeles GC, who have also won their opening match. Later the same day, they will face Bay GC, who also claimed victory in their opening match.

The next TGL match will take place on Monday, January 27, between Jupiter Links GC and Boston GC.
