WATCH: Lauren Coughlin gets a champagne shower after winning the 2024 CPKC Women's Open

Lauren Coughlin has won the 2024 CPKC Women's Open at Earl Grey Golf and Country Club in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Coughlin clinched the victory with a margin of two strokes over Mao Saigo.

After the putt on the final hole, she received a champagne shower from her husband John Pond. The video of the same can be watched below:

In the post-tournament press conference, Lauren Coughlin said (via LPGA):

"(This win) just makes it all worth it. All the sacrifices that I made, that my husband made when I was just getting started, my family made when I was just getting started. A lot of people believed in me when I didn't, and I wouldn't be where I was without them."

Coughlin scored 68 and 70 in the first two rounds to make the cut. He scored a splendid 66 in the third round and finished with a 71 in the final round to win the CPKC Women's Open.

Lauren Coughlin jumped to fifth in the 2024 Solheim Cup. The tournament will be held from September 13 to 15, 2024, at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia. Talking about it, Coughlin said (via LPGA):

"Certainly, I've been thinking about (the Solheim Cup) all season. I think what I was thinking about had shifted from just trying to make the team to trying to get myself as ready as possible if I did end up making the team. That's where my mind has been. Also, at the same time, trying to be in the moment as much as I could and let my golf do the talking for me."

Coughlin earned $390,000 of the total prize money of $2.6 million.
