Watch: LIV Golf 'ambassador' Rick Shiels drops major hints about his exciting collaboration this season

Rick Shiels, one of the top golf content creators, recently announced his partnership as an official LIV Golf ambassador. In a recent video on his X page, Shiels talked about numerous plans for the 2025 LIV season.

In the video, Shiels could be seen in a white cap with LIV Golf's 'L' logo, a light blue hoodie, black pants and white sneakers. The background appeared to be LIV Golf studio with "LIV" in neon lights. He captioned the post:

"I’ve officially signed with @livgolf_league"

In the video, Shiels teased fans about a lot of content ideas during LIV Golf events. He mentioned the "10 Shot Challenge" which will be filmed at every LIV Golf event. He said:

"We're going to be having 10 shot challenges being filmed every single event on the Live Golf schedule, plus two versus two. We're going to have two players from one team versus two players against another team, head-to-head, nine holes match play."

Shiels said that he would take on the role of host during the events. He further mentioned a "Break 75" series in which Shiels will try to break 75 in "amazing golf courses." He said that the series would be live on his YouTube channel. He further said:

"The Live Golf guys are playing each and every event. It's going to be epic. We've got podcasts, coaching content, five man scrambles. Honestly, be sure to tune in because me and Liv, we're going places baby. We're going places."

Rick Shiels has more than 2.92 million subscribers on his YouTube Channel. He has 836k followers on Instagram and 177k followers on X. He has also amassed 1.4 million followers on his Facebook channel.

Sergio Garcia is "excited" about playing with Rick Shiels in the 2025 LIV season

After the LIV Golf and Rick Shiels's content creator partnership was announced, Sergio Garcia said that he was "excited" about playing with Rick Shiels in the 2025 LIV Golf season.

Garcia took to Instagram and shared a video of last year's match with Shiels and wrote:

"Excited to tee off with you again this season, @rickshielspga 🏌🏻‍♂️#LongLIVGolf"

Responding to the Instagram post, Shiels commented:

"YES SIR! I need that rematch! Ha."

Sergio Garcia and Rick Shiels played an 18-hole match in February 2024. In the match held at Spanish Oaks Golf Club, Shiels started with an advantaged score of 10-under. However, he struggled to compete with the golfer in the 18-hole match.

Shiels scored bogeys, double bogeys and even a triple bogey to finish with a final score of +7, a net +17 for the round. Garcia, on the other hand, finished even par for the round winning the challenge.
