WATCH: Lucas Herbert's caddie gets slammed in the head with a full water bottle during LIV Golf Adelaide

Lucas Herbert's caddie Nick Pugh was hit in the head by a water bottle thrown by a fan during the second round of the 2024 LIV Golf Adelaide. Nick Pugh was hit in the head on the par 3 12th hole of the Grange Golf Club nicknamed the 'Watering Hole.'

The Watering Hole features a stadium around the hole for fans to watch the LIV Golf players. Also known as the 'party hole,' players will walk out to a song of their choice played by a live DJ.

Lucas Herbert finished round two of the 2024 LIV Golf Adelaide with the 12th hole as his final hole of the round. Herbert birdied the hole and celebrated.

Herbert's caddie was hit in the head as he was placing the pin back in the hole. Watch the video of the incident below:

Lucas Herbert told the Sydney Morning Herald:

“I was worried about him, to begin with, but he’s good now. He’s good and he took it really well. He could have been a lot more upset with it, but he took it really well."

Fans have been known to have one too many drinks in the stands of the 12th hole. Branden Grace had drinks thrown on the green as he was putting. Herbert told the Sydney Morning Herald:

"It’s probably difficult to request someone who has had 15 beers to aim a water bottle away from someone. That’s maybe asking too much. Gracey [Branden Grace] made a putt from the top tier and some drinks landed on the green. That’s good fun, and it’s in the right spots so we can deal with it. A few pushed it too far. But the crowd self-policed and they got some boos when they were throwing things too close. That’s about as crazy as it needs to get.”

Joaquin Niemann's Torque GC leads the 2024 LIV Golf Adelaide at 35-under through 36 holes. Captain Niemann and teammates Muñoz and Pereira shot 5-under each. Carlos Ortiz's score of 4-under did not count.

Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers GC and Kevin Na's Iron Heads GC are tied for second place at 34-under. Captain Mickelson's score did not count towards his team's total.
