WATCH: Matt McCarty's winning shot at the Black Desert Championship 2024

Matt McCarty has emerged victorious at the 2024 Black Desert Championship. McCarty won the tournament by three strokes over Stephen Jaeger. The third tournament of the FedExCup Fall concluded on Sunday, October 13 at the Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah.

PGA Tour posted a video on X of Matt McCarty's winning shot. In the shot, McCarty is seen mid-putt on the green. He sank the putt perfectly and then retrieved the ball from the hole.

The 26-year-old, dressed in a green golf shirt, grey pants, and white golf shoes, raised both his arms in the air in celebration. The Arizonian then hugged his caddie, Devrath Das. He also waved his hat to the crowd. At the end of the video, he embraced his girlfriend, Madi Moore.

This is McCarty's fourth victory, as he had three Korn Ferry Tour wins earlier this year. Talking about it, Matt McCarty said (via PGA Tour):

"I don't know how you can expect this. It's just a lot of fun. I've been working really hard. This year was great for me. To get out here a little early, to get some experience, was great and obviously this now. It's just been a crazy last few months for me."

McCarty scored a splendid bogey-free 62 in the first round. He carded 68, 64, and 67 in the final three rounds to win the 2024 Black Desert Championship. The PGA Tour pro won by three strokes against Stephen Jaeger said:

"I gave myself a shot. I didn’t drive it well enough to give myself shorter clubs in and ample opportunity for birdie. But sometimes you have that. I made some nice putts coming in, so I’m happy with that."

Jaeger, also won his first PGA Tour win earlier this year, at the Texas Children's Houston Open where he defeated World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler.

McCarty's first PGA Tour win came on just his third start on the tour. He won a prize money of $1.35 million and 500 FedExCup Fall points.

Matt McCarty has had a great 2024 season. In 25 starts on the Korn Ferry Tour, he has had three wins and nine top-10 finishes. He finished on top of the Korn Ferry Tour points list.
