A look into Max Homa's performance at the 2024 Nedbank Golf Challenge

Max Homa started his game at the 2024 Nedbank Golf Challenge on Thursday, December 5, with a solid round of 6-under 66. He made three back-to-back birdies on the first three holes before adding two birdies on the front nine.

Homa struggled on the back nine, adding three birdies and two bogeys for a 6-under total but still managed to take the lead in the game after the first round. Speaking of the event, Homa said, via CBS Sports:

"It's always nice to come back to a place with some really good memories. This isn't very close to home, but it feels a little like a home away from home for the week. It was really fun last year, and I've had a great week so far so happy to be here.
"I made a bunch of changes the last three months or so, so it is good to get to come to a golf tournament and test them out. I feel good, I feel like I know what I am doing. I just need to be under some pressure to see what feels like what and go on from there," he added.

However, after a good start, Homa had a rough time on the greens on Friday, December 6, during the second round of the DP World Tour event. He shot a round of 3-over 75 with three birdies, two double bogeys, and two bogeys.

Max Homa started fairly well in the third round but made a bogey on the seventh. However, he bounced back with a birdie on the ninth. At the time of writing, Homa completed the first nine holes of the third round and tied for the lead with Aldrich Potgieter and Matthew Jordan. The tournament will conclude on Sunday, December 8.
