Min Woo Lee is at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Japan to play in the 2024 ZOZO Championship. From there, the Australian gave a demonstration of his golf swing that showed off his enormous potential.

Lee posted a video clip on his personal Instagram account, in which he can be seen executing a near-perfect fade shot. The video has received more than 18,500 reactions on Instagram and hundreds of thousands of views on X (formerly Twitter), where it has been reposted by several users.

The video posted by Lee follows the trajectory of the ball, showing its curving path from left to right. The shot was played with little elevation and a lot of spin, keeping the ball perfectly on the fairway.

Min Woo Lee is considered one of the most promising young stars in the golf world. He is 26 years old and ranked 42nd in the world.

The Australian had an impressive average driving distance of 315.5, which ranked seventh on the PGA Tour this season. This was due in large part to his average clubhead speed of 124.28 MPH (5th on the tour).

However, Lee is much better known for his skills around the green, which have earned him the nickname "Dr. Chipinsky". He is often seen hitting spectacular shots with his wedges from any distance.

Min Woo Lee's 2024 season at a glance

Min Woo Lee played 18 PGA Tour events in the 2024 season, making 15 cuts. He only managed two top-10 finishes, but both were runner-up finishes (Cognizant Classic and Rocket Mortgage Classic).

He played in the season's four majors and finished in the top 30 in three of them (Masters Tournament, PGA Championship and US Open). He missed the cut at the Open Championship.

These results placed him outside the top 50 in the FedEx Cup standings, making him ineligible to play in the 2025 Signature Events. However, he is currently ranked 63rd in the FedEx Cup Fall, so his PGA Tour card for next season is virtually assured.

Lee also played two DP World Tour events to start the season with excellent results. He tied for third at the Australian Open and won the Australian PGA Championship.

The win was his third on the European Tour (2020 Vic Open, 2021 Scottish Open), where he played for five seasons before earning his PGA Tour card in 2024. Lee also has one victory on the Asian Tour (2023 Macau Open).

The 2024 edition will be Min Woo Lee's second appearance at the ZOZO Championship. His previous experience (2023) was very positive as he tied for sixth place with a score of 6-under 274, eight strokes behind winner Collin Morikawa.
