PGA Tour stars got candid with their expectations from the 2025 season. The American Tour kicked off its new season this week in Hawaii with the season-opening The Sentry.

Some of the PGA Tour stars, including Max Homa, opened up about their expectations for the new season. Homa humorously said that he had the resolution to eat more in 2025. The American golfer said:

"One resolution I got is eating more on the golf course. That's a new one. I do a poor job. I get really focused on what I'm doing on the course, and I don't eat, and I notice I probably fade as the days go on with my mental game. I had like a light bulb moment. I'm 34 now. I need to grow up and stop self-loathing and moping around when things are not going my way. So that also tries into the food thing."

Homa entered the new year with new sponsors for his apparel and equipment in 2025. He split from Titleist and signed deals with Cobra for equipment, Puma for shoes, and Lululemon for apparel. The PGA Tour pro also opened up about having new things in 2025, saying:

"Equipment, apparel, coach, all these things. So it feels like a fresh start. I'd like the brain to match up all the changes going on because I'm really happy with all the physical stuff. I just need to grow up.

Aside from Homa, Sahith Theegala also opened up about his plans for the new year. He has been hoping to make it to the Ryder Cup this year. Theegala said:

"I want to make the Ryder Cup team. That's probably my one big one. In a weird way, the Golf's you know what you need to do in golf. Whether the results pan out or not, it's not really up to you. Sometimes it's up to the golf gods or the greater beings.
"But you know, all you can do is put in the work and do the right things and hope it pans out for you. So, I'm just keeping that same attitude and it feels like a bonus," he added.

Notably, the Ryder Cup features two teams of 12 players each. The six top players in each team are auto-qualified, while the remaining six are the team's captain's picks. Theegala is currently ranked 11th in the auto-qualification list for Team USA.

PGA Tour pro-Adam Scott hopes to "get back to the winner's circle" in 2025

PGA Tour pro Adam Scott reflected on his expectations for the new season. He is hoping to enter the winner's circle. Speaking of his resolution, Scott said:

"The big picture for 2025 is to get back to the winner's circle. I feel like I knocked on the door a couple times last year and feel like my game's ready to get across the line and lift a trophy again."

Adam Scott's last tournament win was in 2020. He clinched the trophy at the Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour and has struggled since then. In 2021, he came close to winning the Wyndham Championship but lost in a playoff.
