Rickie Fowler is playing in the 2024 ZOZO Championship at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club, Japan. From there, the American gave PGA Tour fans a glimpse of what it is like behind the scenes during a practice session.
Fowler was filmed performing a number of practice shots while explaining the process for executing each shot. The video was posted to the PGA Tour's X (formerly Twitter) account, where it has been viewed more than 62,700 times.
The footage shows Fowler hitting various driver and iron shots. The player explains the distances he wants to hit and why as well as his thought process in deciding how to execute the shot.
This process includes distance, course conditions, and weather conditions. As part of his training session, Fowler hit several notable shots, including a 160-yard drive that was less than an inch from the hole. Watch the video below:
Fowler secured his PGA Tour card for the 2025 season by winning the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. The ZOZO Championship is his third event of the current FedEx Cup Fall season.
This stage serves as his preparation for the 2025 regular season. In 2024, Rickie Fowler played in 22 events with 16 cuts and no top 10s. His best finish of the regular season was T16 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
These results mean the 6-time PGA Tour winner has not qualified for next season's Signature Events. He will have to qualify for them through other means.
