WATCH: Scottie Scheffler almost knocks out Daniel Brown with his shot at the 2024 Open 

Scottie Scheffler's chance of winning his second Major championship this season came to an end on Sunday. After four rounds at The Open Championship, Scheffler tied for 7th place. The 28-year-old scored 70-70-71-72 at the Royal Troon Golf Club.

While Scheffler might be disappointed about not being able to win the Major, he can be proud of the fact that he entertained his fans with some good golf. One such entertaining moment came in the fourth round of the tournament, when Scheffler almost took out his playing partner.

When Scheffler hit his third stroke on the par-4 18th hole, the ball was almost about to hit British golfer Daniel Brown. However, nothing of that sort happened, and the play continued. While Scheffler tied for 7th place in the competition, Brown tied for 10th place.

Even though Scottie Scheffler missed out on winning his second Major championship of the year, he has performed exceedingly well this season. Until now, the American has won six events, and it will be interesting to see if he wins more events on the PGA Tour going forward. Scheffler will also be part of Team USA at the Paris Olympics.
