WATCH: Scottie Scheffler and his wife Meredith's heartwarming gesture to a 7-year-old fan

Scottie Scheffler and his wife Meredith recently visited the local charity Behind Every Door in Dallas, Texas, where the couple spent some time with the students. During their visit, they also interacted with one of the students, who made a drawing dedicated to the World No. 1 golfer.

Earlier this month, Scottie Scheffler competed at the Hero World Challenge, where he successfully defended his title. During the off-season, he recently visited Behind Every Door in Dallas, Texas, accompanied by his wife Meredith and son Bennett.

On Sunday, December 29, the PGA Tour shared a clip of Scheffler with Kalise, a seven-year-old student at the local charity. In the video, Kalise can be seen showing her handmade sketch to Meredith and Scottie Scheffler. Meredith praises her art and also makes a little deal with the seven-year-old.

"We'll keep it," she tells Kalise. "And when Ben is older, maybe you can teach him how to draw."

Will Scottie Scheffler play at the Sentry 2025?

Scottie Scheffler will not compete at the Sentry 2025 as he got injured in his house during the Christmas holidays. On Friday, December 27, his manager Blake Smith released a statement regarding the incident.

"On Christmas Day while preparing dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass," the statement read. "Small glass fragments remained in the palm which required surgery. He has been told that he should be back to 100% in three to four weeks."

He further revealed that the golfer will next compete at the American Express, which will take place on the last week of January.

The Sentry 2025 will feature 60 top players competing for a purse size of $20 million. This will be the first of the eight signature events and will not have a 36-hole cut.
