The scenes during the third day of the Presidents Cup became quite intense as both teams pushed hard to take the lead. Though the scoreline was 6-2 on Day 3, the competition was much closer, which was evident in the players' reactions.

On Saturday, September 28, Team USA won both the fourball and foursomes sessions with a 3-1 scoreline. In the final foursome of the day, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele faced off against Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim. The holes were tied with just one hole to go, but Cantlay sealed the game for the visitors with a birdie putt on the 18th.

Following Cantlay's putt, the scenes got wild in the US camp, and the cheers grew louder. Amid the celebration, Wyndham Clark did Steph Curry's 'night night' gesture, pointing toward Si Woo Kim. Notably, this was in response to Kim, who had made a similar gesture on the 16th after making an incredible birdie chip.

During the post-round presser, when asked about Si Woo Kim's gesture, Cantlay said he had no idea what that meant before the Saturday evening.

"All the guys were saying that," he said. "I didn't even know what the goodnight gesture was until about 10 minutes ago."
"I don't care what they do. I know they're going to get amped up if they make birdies. They made a ton of birdies. They got amped up in front of the home crowd. Home crowd loved it. That's great. That's great for golf. We just made one more birdie," he added.

Team US takes the 11-7 lead over the International team after Day 3 at the Presidents Cup

After getting swept in the Presidents Cup Friday foursomes, Team USA bounced back on Saturday. Team USA dominated the morning fourball session, with Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim being the only ones to earn a point for the hosts.

Not much changed in the afternoon session either, as the visitors once again posted a 3-1 win. Now team US has an 11-7 lead over the International team and is closer to another win at the Presidents Cup.
