Tiger Woods recently practiced some shots at the SoFi Center simulator ahead of the start of the first season of the highly anticipated TGL. The American is gearing up to play in the TGL, which was created by Woods himself in collaboration with fellow PGA Tour player Rory McIlroy and TMRW Sports Executive Mike McCarley.
The series made waves on the internet because of its unique format. It will be played on a simulator, unlike regular events which take place on golf courses. The series was initially scheduled to start in 2024 but was delayed and will now finally start in January 2025.
As the series is about to begin its first season, Woods recently practiced his swings on the simulator. Twlegion shared a video of Woods' swing on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"LOOK — Tiger Woods is at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida taking swings into the TGL Simulator and doesn’t appear to be holding back whatsoever."
Notably, the upcoming golf series takes place in a team format. Six teams, named based on popular cities in the USA, will compete in 15 regular tournaments, and then the top teams in the standings will head to the semifinals and finals.
