Tiger Woods recently appeared on Fore Play's YouTube video where he caddied for the golf influencers. The 15-time Major winner also shared some valuable insights and tips on the sport.
When the influencer group and Woods were traveling in the golf cart, the legendary player was asked what advice he would give amateurs. The ace golfer started off his answer by explaining a situation a player might encounter before hitting a shot.
"There's a certain limit (that) you want to hit it. So, depends up front. I need to hit it to the front or just pass it in the middle, I am either side. I am picking it different where I want the ball to end up on the next play. And so, this pin the worst place you can hit it here is long right?"
Tiger Woods further made his views clear on the idea of a "perfect" shot and having "margins".
"So hitting it short left either side of the bunker while you have room to play with. I am always trying to give myself margins and not being perfect. This game's too hard to be perfect, but it's much easier if you have an idea of margins and be able to swing freely at times. Not be handcuffed, right?"
'Fore Play' podcast shared this conversation via a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on January 24.
At the time of writing, the YouTuber group's latest video with Tiger Woods has already amassed 478K views on the platform in nine days of being uploaded.
"Just commit to it" - Tiger Woods on improving golf swing
Tiger Woods shared his advice on improving a golf swing when he caddied for the 'Fore Play' podcast members for their YouTube video. Woods placed importance on commitment when hitting a shot.
"Whatever you do. Just commit to it. A hook, slice, straight, high, low...who cares? Just settle down and commit to what you are doing. Just stay here," he said.
A short snippet of the entire 28-minute long video was posted by TaylorMade recently where Woods can be seen assessing the influencers' swings and stating they were "beautiful". He further reiterated his previous point saying:
"There you go, see? Keep it simple. Most important thing that you do is commit to what you are doing. That's it," he added.
Tiger Woods has been out of regular competitions ever since his horrific 2021 car crash where he was significantly injured. He competed in five events in the 2024 season.
However, fans have been getting to see his glimpses in his and Rory McIlroy's tech-forward TGL. Both of their teams, Jupiter Links Golf Club and Boston Common Golf respectively will go against each other on January 27th.
Outside of the competitive tournaments, the 49-year-old is a regular fixture at the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. The father-son duo placed second in 2024 behind Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason after the former sunk a controversial putt.
