How has Bryson DeChambeau performed in 2024?
Bryson DeChambeau had a mixed season this year, registering a Major championship win. However, apart from winning the 2024 US Open, he failed to notch a win. His best finish on LIV Golf this year was T3 at the Nashville event and eventually finished 8th in the season-long individual championship.
In the post-round press conference at the LIV Golf Chicago event, DeChambeau was asked if winning the US Open or doing well in Majors affected his performance on LIV Golf. He said (via ASAP Sports):
"I don't think that winning the US Open or playing well in the majors affected how I did out here. It was more me not playing as good as I could have probably out here and not preparing as well as I should have. Maybe taking a couple of things for granted here and there, not working on putting the way I probably should have, chipping and wedging."
DeChambeau cited a lack of preparation and focus and stated he needs to focus and give himself enough preparation time next year.
"Now obviously, winning the U.S. Open can take a toll on you, but for the most part, it's been a lot of just not giving myself enough prep time and working for these events, and I need to focus more on that next year because I want to give myself better chances next year," the two-time Major champion said.
