Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy-led TGL is all set to begin on January 7. Ahead of the tournament, it's been reported that the league will be using seat fillers. While many believed these seat fillers would be used for opening matches, golf reporter Bob Harig mentioned on X that fillers are being used for rehearsal games.

Harig's tweet on X met with a reply from a fan who mentioned that TGL is using seat fillers for the actual event. The fan mentioned that the seat fillers/actors will be used to hype the event in a way golf fans won't be able to. Harig replied to this and wrote:

"Read the story, champ. Weird hill to die on."

As per Adam Freifeld, a spokesperson for TGL, the league will be using fillers for three days of rehearsal matches for broadcast testing. He also mentioned that the league needs actors in the stands to record an opening for the games that will be played on Monday evening.

TMRW Golf League will begin on January 7 at the specially constructed SoFi Center. In this inaugural edition of the league, several veteran names like Rickie Fowler, Keegan Bradley, and Justin Thomas are set to take part.

Game 1 of TGL will be played between the New York Golf Club and the Bay Golf Club. This match will begin at 9 PM ET, and fans can watch it on ESPN, with additional options for streaming on ESPN +.
