The first round of the 2024 Wyndham Championship is set to start on Friday after storms hit Greensboro on Thursday, August 8. The opening round will now begin no earlier than 8:50 a.m. ET on Friday, August 9.

The Wyndham Championship is the final event of the PGA Tour's regular season and the last chance for many players to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. However, the week didn’t start as planned due to Tropical Storm Debby, which forced the first round to be delayed to the next day.

Following the suspension of play, the PGA Tour announced on X that the Rules Committee would confirm the revised tee times of the Wyndham Championship after assessing conditions at Sedgefield Country Club on Friday morning.
