“What a letdown!”; “This sucks” – Fans unhappy with TGL League’s ‘lame’ big screen

The TGL is set to begin in a month's time and one of the biggest features of the tech-infused league is going to be its massive simulator screen. However, fans didn't look happy with its first glimpse and found it underwhelming.

The TGL is a new tech-infused league co-founded by Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. Rose and 23 other players are divided into six teams and will compete against each other from January 7 onwards at the newly constructed SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.

On Thursday, December 5, Justin Rose posted a clip of himself practicing in front of the massive TGL simulator screen at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida.

Fans online weren't impressed by the look of the screen and felt let down by it. Here's a look at some of the reactions:

"What a letdown!" one fan wrote.

"This sucks," another fan posted.

"It’s so lame - who asked for it?," this fan remarked.

"This, plus the forced “trash talk” from these dorks trying to be cool, will make this the lamest thing of all time," one user commented.

"The development of this bulls***t, after their tent was blown away in ‘23, is b/c Woods can’t walk 18 holes; that’s on him.

"I am not excited about this at all. LIV light at best," one fan wrote.
