Paige Spiranac finished in 9th place in the inaugural Creator Classic at East Lake Golf Club. Spiranac was 2 over after 8 holes and was the highest placed player in the field.
This performance had a lot to do with the equipment she used in the tournament. It was basically the same equipment she uses to create content for her social media profiles.
Paige Spiranac's bag is an interesting mix of Callaway and Titleist with a distinctive pink colour:
- Driver: Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond (8 degrees), with an AutoFlex SF505 shaft.
- 3-wood: Callaway Rogue ST Max (15 degrees) with an LA Golf Paige A-Series shaft.
- 5-wood: Callaway Rogue ST Max (18 degrees) with an LA Golf Paige A-Series shaft.
- 7-wood: Callaway Rogue ST Max (21 degrees) with an LA Golf Paige A-Series shaft.
- Irons: Titleist CNCPT CP-04 (5-9) with LA Golf Paige A-Series shafts.
- Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design SM9 (50-12F, 54-14F, 58-08M) with LA Golf Paige A-Series shafts.
- Putter: Swag Prototype.
The first edition of the Creator Classic was played over eight holes with 16 golf influencers in the field. The top four on the leaderboard had a playoff, which was won by Luke Kwon.
Paige Spiranac's impressions of Creator Classic
Paige Spiranac posted a video on her YouTube channel about her participation in the Creator Classic. The video shows her in different moments before, during and after the competition, as well as interacting with fans and other players.
Spiranac also shares her impressions of the event, a PGA Tour initiative sponsored by Blackstone. This is part of what she had to say:
"Nothing like this has ever happened before, it's really cool that the tour is kind of investing back into golf creators and there's been a really big movement of golf YouTube and kind of just the growth of golf influencers." [5:38 onwards]
She added:
"I feel like I was really one of the the "ogs," the originals and so, from when I first started and the reaction that I would get now, you know, 7 years later, to be here in this moment surrounded by, I mean, the best in the world on a world class golf course is truly like a pinch me moment."
Spiranac also reflected on her own game during the event. She said she struggled with her iron game but that her driver worked well. She went on to say that she was happy about this as her driver is usually her main problem when she plays in tournaments.
The former professional repeated several times that she felt very nervous during the Creator Classic. However, she also reflected on the importance of the event and hoped that it would continue in the future.
