The Procore Championship's second round is underway, which means there's just a few hours between now and when some golfers will go home. It's a PGA Tour event (and not a Signature Event), meaning not every golfer plays through to Sunday.

The Procore's specific rules state that only the top 65 players and those within 10 strokes of the leader will play the rest of the weekend. Those who don't are eliminated and can't play anymore. As of now, the projected cut is sitting at two under par. According to Data Golf, there's a 37.6% chance that this remains the final cut.

That means that several golfers will be going home. Webb Simpson, Cameron Champ, Dylan Wu, Max Homa, Chad Ramey, Eric Cole, Adam Schenk, Chris Gotterup, Kevin Kisner, Danny Willett, Alejandro Tosti, and several others are among the 76 golfers at risk of missing the cut.

However, the tournament is far from over. Most players have not finished the second round, which means there is plenty of time to change. Homa, for instance, hasn't started his round at all. He still has 18 holes to impact the cut line and push his way ahead of it. This is also true for Patrick Rodgers and others below the current projected cut line.

Until all the players have played 36 holes, which won't be until later today, the cut can't be made at the Procore Championship. For now, it's just a projection, one that will undoubtedly change more than a few times before it ends.

David Lipsky opens up on great first round at Procore Championship

David Lipsky has not yet begun his second round at the Procore Championship, but he had the best first round of anyone. He shot 65 to score seven under, leaving him as the solo leader.

He said via NBC Sports after the round that he'd reunited with some old friends after a troublesome few weeks on tour:

“Just being around those guys and seeing how carefree they are, not knowing what’s coming for them yet, it’s sort of nice to see that. I was almost energized by their youthfulness.”

Patton Kizzire was one of two golfers just one back after Lipsky's excellent first round at the Procore Championship. He said:

“There was a lot of good stuff out there today. I stayed patient and just went through my routines and played well, one shot at a time. I’ve really bee working hard on my mental game and I think that allowed me to rinse and repeat and reset and keep playing.”

Kizzire has started his second round, shaving one off to draw into a tie with Lipsky and Greyson Sigg for third place now.
