Where is the 2024 Andalucia Masters being played? All you need to know

The DP World Tour is back this week with the 2024 Andalucia Masters set to be played from October 17 to 20. The tenth edition of the event will be held at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande in San Roque (Cadiz).

Real Club de Sotogrande was legendary golf course designer Robert Trent Jones' very first course on European grounds and has played host to the event since 2023. According to Jones' book 'Golf's Magnificent Challenge', the course is in his top five favorites.

The par 72 course plays 6,492 meters with wide fairways and elevated greens. A whopping 100 bunkers push players to be accurate especially around greens as 69 bunkers are placed by the greenside.

Each hole varies not only in shape and length but also in the vegetation. Here is a description of the venue from the course's official site (via GolfSotogrande.com):

"The variety of holes is another characteristic of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, variety not only in shape and distances but in its vegetation: the mixture of cork oaks, pine trees, palm trees and an abundance of other species, provide the course with a wonderful personality and beauty."
