Morgane Metraux studied at Florida State University, where she played collegiate golf. The Swiss golfer began playing golf at the age of ten and competed in her first international tournament at 15. She played at the 2012 Junior Open Championship.

Morgane Metraux had a successful junior career. After graduating from Auguste Picard High School in 2014, she attended Florida State University. During her collegiate career, Metraux won three individual events.

Her best finish in college came at the 2018 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship, where she tied for fifth place. After completing her degree in Business Management in 2018, Metraux embarked on her professional journey by joining the Symetra Tour. She secured her first win on the circuit at the 2021 Island Resort Championship, defeating Maude-Aimee Leblanc by one stroke.

Metraux earned membership on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2020 and placed tenth at the Saudi Ladies International, her best finish of the season.

So far, Morgane Metraux has won three tournaments in her career, including two on the LET and one on the Epson Tour (Symetra Tour). She also won the 2022 Ladies Italian Open by defeating Alessandra Fanali and Meghan MacLaren in a playoff.

Her maiden LET win came at the Jabra Ladies Open in 2024, where she defeated Agathe Sauzon and Chiara Tamburlini by three strokes. Morgane Metraux recently became the talk of the town after her commendable performance at the ongoing women’s golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Metraux has delivered a phenomenal performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Although she had a rough start with a round of 70, she quickly bounced back in the second round to top the leaderboard. While the second round is still underway, Morgane is leading the field at the time of writing.

In the first round, Morgane began her game with a birdie on the fifth hole, followed by a bogey on the eighth. She carded a bogey and three birdies on the back nine.

In the second round, Morgane Metraux started strong with a birdie on the first hole and then added an eagle on the third. She made three consecutive birdies from the fourth to the sixth holes before adding another eagle on the ninth.

On the back nine, she shot two bogeys and a birdie. However, Morgane has yet to play one hole to complete the round. At the time of writing, she is leading with a score of 9-under.

Lydia Ko holds second place, while Celine Boutier, who was leading after the first round, shot 65 in the second round, and slipped to third place. The tournament is scheduled to have its finale on August 10.
