Braden Thornberry has won the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Championship. The final tournament of the Korn Forry Tour was played at Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Indiana, United States from Thursday, October 3 to 6.
The 27-year-old carded 71, 72, and 70 in the first three rounds. He scored a splendid 66 in the final round to win the tournament. The University of Mississippi alum won by one stroke over Brian Campbell, Alistair Docherty, and Doc Redman.
He earned the PGA Tour card with the win as he jumped from 51st to 16th in the Korn Ferry Tour Point Standings. Talking about his win and earning the PGA Tour card, Braden Thornberry said, via PGA Tour:
"It’s amazing. I played good all year and just hadn’t quite got it to work out for me. For this to all come together today is just special ... A lot of stuff hasn’t gone my way over the past five years or so. To finally have something go my way and play well at the right time is amazing."
Braden Thornberry was born on April 11, 1997, to Les and Veronica Thornberry in Germantown, Tennessee. He grew up near Memphis and attended FedEx St. Jude Classic during his childhood. He started playing golf early and finished his junior golf career at No. 6 in the world. His junior golf accolades include:

The Tennessean was admitted to the University of Mississippi in 2015. He made his PGA Tour debut at the 2016 FedEx St. Jude Championship and tied for the fourth. Braden Thornberry turned professional in 2018. However, the Olive Branch native failed to earn the PGA Tour in his first three seasons, as he finished No. 101 in 2019, No. 57 in 2020-21, and No. 109 in 2022. The top 30 players on the Korn Ferry Tour win the PGA Tour card.
