Who is Jackson Suber? All you need to know about the golfer replacing Jon Rahm at US Open 2024

Jackson Suber is a professional American golfer who will replace Jon Rahm at the 2024 US Open. The Spanish golfer withdrew from the upcoming major due to an infection in his left leg. Subar will fill the position as the first alternate from the qualified field.

Jackson Suber began his professional career in 2022 after achieving success as an amateur. He currently ranks 293rd in the world and 44th on the Korn Ferry Tour standings. He has played in 12 tournaments on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024.

The 24-year-old graduated from the University of Mississippi and currently resides in Tampa, Florida. According to the PGA Tour, he has earned around $371,795 in his career so far.

This will be Suber's third time playing with the PGA Tour players, having previously competed in the Valspar Championship and Sanderson Farms Championship in 2022. However, he struggled in both tournaments and did not make the cut.

Heading into the major, Jackson Suber will be looking forward to make the most of this opportunity and achieving a good finish. The event will kick off with its inaugural round on Thursday, June 13, at the Pinehurst No. 2 Golf Course in North Carolina.

So far, Jackson Suber has competed in 12 events this season, performing decently. He missed the cut at six tournaments but recorded two top-10 finishes and four top-25 finishes at the other six. He started the season with a T14 finish at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course in the island country.

Suber's best result yet has come at the Lecom Suncoast Classic this year, where he tied for sixth place. Although he had a decent start, Suber has struggled in his last few outings on the Korn Ferry Tour. He recently missed cuts in four back-to-back events.

The 2024 US Open will start on Thursday, June 13 at 6:45 a.m. ET. Jackson Suber will tee off for the first round of the 2024 US Open with Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa at 1:36 p.m. ET on the first tee hole.

Michael McGowan, Carter Jenkins and Logan McAllister will take the first shot of the day on the first hole while Rico Hiley, Tom McKibbin and Matteo Manassero will be the first to play on the tenth hole.
