The second round of the AIG Women's Open was held on the Old Course at St. Andrews on Friday, August 23. As expected, the iconic course, often referred to as the "Home of Golf," presented a formidable challenge, with only 20 players managing to break par.

Nelly Korda leads the AIG Women's Open at 8-under. The World No. 1 is three strokes ahead of her closest competitors, Lilia Vu and Charley Hull, who are both tied for second place.

Charley Hull was unable to improve on her first-round score of 5 under par, shooting even par in the second round. Lilia Vu carded a 3-under par round, tying with Hull for second place.

Caroline Inglis posted the best score of the second round, moving up 97 places on the leaderboard to a tie for 21st.

The most spectacular performance of the day, however, came from amateur Louise Rydqvist. The Swede carded an extraordinary 5-under 67, moving up 43 places on the leaderboard to tie for fifth with three other players.
