Ingrid Lindblad pulled off the biggest surprise of the first round with a bogey-free seven-birdie performance to take a share of the lead in the Amundi Evian Championship. Lindblad is making her professional debut at the Evian Resort.
Gemma Dryburgh and Patty Tavatanakit were also bogey-free in the first round of the Amundi Evian Championship. Neither has won the French championship before, with the Scotswoman's best result being a T8 and the Thai's a T48 (both in 2023).
Six players are tied for fourth place, one stroke off the lead. Included in the group is Lydia Ko, who is looking for the missing point to earn her induction into the LPGA Hall of Fame.
Defending champion Celine Boutier finished the first round in T21, with a score of 2 under. World No. 1 Nelly Korda, finished on the same score and position.
