Who is leading the 2024 Andalucia Masters after day 2? Leaderboard explored

The second round of the 2024 Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters was played this Friday, October 18, at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. The cut after 36 holes was set at 2 under par and 70 players surpassed it.

Jorge Campillo is the new leader of the Andalucia Masters. The Spaniard holds a comfortable four-shot lead over Daniel Brown, while three players are tied for third place, including first round leader Julien Guerrier.

Jorge Campillo recorded an eagle and five birdies without a bogey in the second round of the Andalucia Masters, a performance that gave him the best score of the day (7 under) and moved him up two places to the lead. The 38-year-old has had 36 bogey-free holes in the Andalucia Masters. Here's what he told DP World Tour News Service after the second round:

"I’m feeling good and although I have played a lot of events, I feel like I am playing better recently, and I just love playing golf. I don’t feel too tired and shooting 15 under over 36 holes doesn’t feel tiring for me."

The Spaniard is looking for his fourth win on the DP World Tour, but it would be his first in Europe as his previous three came in Africa and Asia.

The main pre-tournament favorite, Jon Rahm, carded eight birdies and two bogeys in the second round to climb 33 places on the leaderboard. He is currently tied for sixth place at -8.
