Max Greyserman, meanwhile, carded an eagle, eight birdies and two bogeys for a share of the lead at 8 under. It is the first time Greyserman has held a 36-hole lead in his one-year PGA Tour career.
The best second round of the World Wide Technology Championship was posted by Carson Young, who carded 12 birdies and one bogey (11 under). The score tied the 18-hole tournament record set by Roland Thatcher in 2008 and matched by Matt Wolff in 2021.
Also of note in the second round of the World Wide Technology Championship were Dylan Wu's six consecutive birdies (holes 1-6) and Beau Hossler's ace on the 11th hole, the first of his PGA Tour career. Wu's performance tied his tour career-best birdie streak, which he achieved at the 2023 American Express.
