Justin Lower shot the best score of the third round of the World Wide Technology Championship to move up 14 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for first place. Lower carded an eagle and seven birdies with no bogeys for a 9-under 63.
Lower is looking for his first PGA Tour victory, and so is Carson Young, who shot 5-under Saturday to back up his 11-under from the day before.
This is part of what Lower said after the third round of the World Wide Technology Championship:
"There’s 18 holes tomorrow on a very scorable golf course...I just want to see how good I can do and prove to myself that I can actually do something in this game."
Echavarría, meanwhile, shot a 4-under-par third round to maintain the lead he has held since Friday. The Colombian is coming off a victory at the ZOZO Championship and is looking for his third win on the PGA Tour.
