The second day of the DP World Tour Team Cup was played this Saturday, January 11, at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates. Great Britain & Ireland took an almost decisive lead, needing just two points from individual matches to win the event.
On the second day of the Team Cup, 10 foursomes matches were played in two sessions (morning and afternoon). The British and Irish team won seven of them, with two wins for Continental Europe and one draw.

With this result, Team Great Britain and Ireland leads the event by 11 points to four. The Team Cup title is won with 13 points, so the British only need two wins on Sunday to be crowned.

“We had a full day of golf on Friday, but it was only 20 percent of the point total. Today was the big day, ten points up for grabs. They have done an unbelievable job just keeping the momentum going.”
