Luis Masaveu signed a contract with LIV Golf in 2025, and the new golfer from Madrid will play at Fireballs GC. He became professional three months ago after a campaign in 2024 that included his successfully making the cutline at the British Open and his second low-amateur trophy at the Spanish Open.
Masaveu also received the Portuguese Amateur title and reached the final stage of the Spanish Amateur. He was also the second-place holder at the 2024 Lytham Trophy and the 2022 Spanish Open.
As Masaveu recently joined hands with Fireballs GC, the team’s Instagram page shared a photo of the golfer by tagging him and writing a caption:
“Welcome the newest member of the Fireballs GC.”
Sergio Garcia stated that he was excited to welcome Luis Masaveu to his team and that the player had a lot of potential in him. Garcia said, via LIV Golf's website:
“We're excited about him. He's a really good, exciting young Spanish player. A lot of potential. He's a great kid, wonderful player…Obviously it's his first year as a pro and coming in and playing with the big guns, I think it's going to be a good learning experience. But all three of us, not only myself but Abraham and David, we're going to be there to support him, to cheer him on and make sure that he can enjoy his game and play the way he can play.”
Masaveu was also looking forward to joining the team, where he could unleash his best efforts. He asserted:
“It's amazing. It's awesome. I've been watching him since I was a kid, him winning the Masters and in the Ryder Cup. So, it's just incredible. I'm just really, really happy to be here and I'm just going to try to learn the most I can with him.”
Fireballs GC won the LIV Golf Andalucia last year with a 5 under in total.
