Maverick McNealy has been out of action for a while now. He was last seen at the RBC Canadian Open, where he missed the cut, citing shoulder injury issues to withdraw from playing golf.
The American golfer was born in Portola Valley, California on November 7, 1995. Back in 2018, he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Management Science and Engineering.
Before turning professional in 2017, McNealy was ranked number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking sometime in late 2016 and early 2017. As an amateur, his first win came at the OFCC Fighting Illini Invite in 2014.

He was part of the United States team for the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2015 and 2017 aand his team won the tournament both times. Later, the golfer represented his country in the Walker Cup in 2015 and 2017, they won the latter edition of the event.
Maverick McNealy qualified for the US Open in 2014 at a mere age of 18. Although he missed the cut at the event.

Initially, the 27-year-old American golfer played on the Web.com Tour. In 2018, he played 18 tournaments and made the cut in 12 of them. His best finish came at the United Leasing & Finance Championship, where he stood third on the leaderboard. This season, he won $84,261 and finished 65th on the money list.
After his consistent performance on the Web.com Tour and Korn Ferry Tour, McNealy earned his PGA Tour card for the 2019–20 season. He played 23 events and missed the cut in only 6 of them. He recorded three top-10 finishes and earned a total of $1,293,984 as on-course earnings.
McNealy is yet to make his Masters debut. However, he had played in all the other three majors at least once. The American golfer has made the cut only at the PGA Championship in 2022, where he finished T75 on the leaderboard.
Personal Life
Maverick McNealy is the son of famous American businessman Scott McNealy who is known as co-founder of Sun Microsystems. The company was acquired by the Oracle Corporation in 2010 in a whopping $7.4 billion deal.
He has also dated the LPGA Tour golfer Danielle Kang, who was based in Las Vegas. However, as per reports, their relationship ended in 2021.
