The golf event at the 2024 Olympics is scheduled to be held between August 1 and 10, with the men’s competition being player between Aug. 1-4 and the women’s Aug. 7-10. A total of 120 golfers have qualified for the event, with 60 women golfers qualifying from 33 countries and 60 men golfers entering from 32 countries.

The competition, being played at the Le Golf National, the 2018 Ryder Cup venue and home of the DP World Tour’s Open de France since 1991, will see the golfers compete for the golf medal. Paris will mark the third consecutive Summer Games to include golf since its comeback in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

The men’s golf event will be headlined by the defending gold medalist and World No.2 Xander Schauffele. The 30-year-old, who won in Tokyo by beating Slovakia’s Rory Sabbatini and Chinese Taipei’s CT Pan, returns next month as a two-time major champion.

The PGA Championship and The Open winner will be joined by Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa and Masters champion Scottie Scheffler on the US Olympics team.

Ireland’s Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy, Spain’s Jon Rahm and David Puig and Australia’s Jason Day and Min Woo Lee are some pairings to watch at Le Golf National in August. Host nation France will have Matthieu Pavon and Victor Perez competing for the flag.

Meanwhile, the women’s golf field will be highlighted by World No.1 Nelly Korda. The American golfer, who bagged gold in Tokyo by defeating Japan’s Mone Inami and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, will be joined by Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang this year.

Australia’s Hannah Green and Minjee Lee, Canada’s Brooke Henderson and China’s Ruoning Yin and Xiyu Lin will be other big names to watch at Le Golf National in August. Notably, Celine Boutier and Perrine Delacour will represent France at the Paris Olympics.
